WHITE DESERT

The White Desert is one of the most incredible deserts in the world. You'll experience a magnificent lunar landscape, featuring otherworldly rock formations. It is a unique place; no other place is like this in the world. The name of the desert comes from the layer of chalk and limestone which partially covers the landscape. It has a white color which creates a bizzare contrast with the yellow desert sand. Here you'll find a natural museum of chalk rock sculptures such as the chicken, the mushroom, and the rabbit.

Black Desert

The complete contrast to its neighbor the White Desert, the Black Desert is in stark contrast with volcanic-shaped mountains, a dark rocky area because of ancient volcanic action and iron ore. Here you will find the mountains and floors scattered with small volcanic black stones lying on the orange and brown colored sand. It is totally uninhabited, but you can get amazing photographs.

Crystal Mountain

This magical ridge holds a number of large hills which hold stones filled with magical crystals within them. Each of the rocks have priceless stones which are filled with mesmerizing patterns of yellow, blue, red, and black lines.

"Al Qasr" means "The Fortress". This is one of the fortified Medieval Islamic towns founded around the end of the 12th century. Here you can wander through narrow covered streets, which are divided into quarters, and are barred off by gates at night It's crazy that even now, the town still has around 700 inhabitants.
